Why volunteer?

Here in Brighton, we are passionate about improving the lives of older people, whether that’s through them volunteering or as a beneficiary. Our LifeLines project provides opportunities for older people to beSupport for old woman from her carer more social, make new friends and try new activities.

Our PrimeTime project – which is specifically for men aged over 50 – was created in a response to data that showed men over 50 but under 65 are the least likely to engage in their community, especially if they are retired.

As well as the reward of knowing you have helped change someone’s life for the better, the majority of LifeLines volunteers said they also felt better in themselves. So give back and you’ll find you can gain something too!
